What to do to relax and feel the magic of Christmas, having a child at home?

Vegetable salad and cheesecake come out in huge quantities from the refrigerator and balloon, the Christmas tree is shining, and the gifts are unpacked? 😉, then, it's time to FINALLY rest! Below we present a subjective check-list of what to do with your toddler at home during Christmas to relax, but also to feel the magic of Christmas.

WATCH A CHRISTMAS MOVIE TOGETHER

Probably some of you have thought about Kevinie... 😉 If you only like Him – go ahead! For younger viewers, we also recommend such titles as: Mickey Mouse's Christmas Carol (1993 year) or Grinch. There will be no Christmas. (2000 year). The classics of the genre will also be Polar Express (2004 year). Wise films show the most important values, instruct and are a topic of discussion for the whole Family!

LONG WALK

Of course, it is best that it takes place during gently falling snow, but even without it you can relax, move your body after Christmas feasts and have a good time. Warsaw offers a lot of attractions, such as: Garden of Lights (Wilanów) or Christmas path on Krakowskie Przedmieście (center). However, if the holidays are white for you – be sure to go sledding!

LIVING STABLE

Regardless of the religion professed and in general whether the holidays are celebrated in the Christian faith, it is worth showing the Child how other cultures do it. Let us broaden our horizons, let us teach sensitivity. In addition, the sensation in the living nativity scene can, of course, arouse live animals (admit in the comments, when was the last time you watched the donkey up close? ;))

LONG BREAKFAST IN PAJAMAS

Nothing relaxes like blissfully doing nothing on a free morning. If you have meetings with your family planned only from lunch, it is worth tempting yourself with a slow, long, festive breakfast in the most comfortable pajamas you have. Organize a real feast, engaging children to help and enjoy the moments spent together – after all, there is not so much space for it every day.

LISTENING TO FORGOTTEN MELODIES INSTEAD OF LAST CHRISTMAS

We all know and like Last Christmas, All I want for Christmas or Let is snow. We have the whole of December for this (if not longer). To such an extent they are common that on December 25th they simply become... Boring. It is worth listening to traditional Christmas carols (not necessarily Polish, for example the German version Cichej Nocy is considered one of the best in the WORLD). It can also be a good topic to talk about at the Christmas table with the older generation. What did you listen to 50 years ago? It may turn out that we will discover new Christmas hits!

A MOMENT OF REFLECTION

For most people, preparations for Christmas are long and tiring, often sprinkled with a race. The celebration itself is often not dreamed of and resembles a fight with loved ones. Meanwhile, in all this madness, it is worth finding 15 minutes to feel gratitude 🙂 Just like that. For the fact that Our Child can probably remember something from these holidays. For the fact that we could spend them together with our family. For another year of challenges, emotions and successes. With the hope that next Christmas we will be able to deal again with what is most important to us.
